My Halloween Costume

I just finished my Halloween costume yesterday and I could not be more excited! Last year I barely consider what I wore a costume, which is why I went all out this year. My flamingo costume was inspired by the Bjork swan dress and 1950's prom frocks. It makes me feel so fun and girly. All I have to do is put an eye on and I'm done!

  10. This is so freaking amazing, I can't get over it! I love that it's a twist on the Swan dress without actually being the swan dress. Flamingos are more fun than swans anyway.

  15. Anon, I make my own clothing patterns, so it really wasn't that hard. I basically made a circle skirt pattern, but made the back about 2 inches bigger than my measurements (since I wanted to put elastic in the back.) I also made the pattern for the neck by draping fabric on a dress form and drawing. Then I sewed it up, stuffed the neck/head,and added layers of tool to the skirt and finished with feathers! It took a while, but it was worth it!
